STANDARD ENTERTAINMENT- Documentary Film Production Company is the latest joint venture from husband and wife team, Jill & Stanley Smith. While the couple’s first foray into Documentary filmmaking, they are no strangers to Film & Television and telling a story through music. The Smiths have worked successfully, in music for Film & Television with their longstanding Los Angeles based Music Production Company & Studio, STANDARD MUSIC. To their combined credits, the duo has worked on a mix of over 50 Film & MFTV Original Movies, more than 350 episodes of Television, Soundtracks, Records, Ad-Campaigns, including several well-known and award-winning Theme Songs. Through the years, collaborators Stanley (Composer) and Jill (Music Supervisor/Singer-Songwriter) each bring their specialized set of skills and unique style & perspective to all the work they do. 

 

Recently launching their Standard Entertainment, Documentary film banner, to produce "Make-Up Women-Glamour & Guts", the Smiths were honored when their debut “Make-Up Women” Doc was selected to participate in the Sundance Institute | Women In Film-2017 Finance & Strategy Intensive. With years of production and personal experience, along with a network of trusted industry professionals who often mentor & advise, this small but mighty production team is eager and driven to tell unique and untold stories about subjects that often don’t receive coverage and/or recognition in the mainstream. Women, Minorities, and Underdogs are what you’ll find on their upcoming Documentary slate. First up: “Make-Up Women -Glamour & Guts” ...stay tuned.
